Born in New York on April 24, 1858. Mrs. Locke studied at the ASL of NYC and with Carol Beckwith, Wm M. Chase, Abbott Thayer, and George deForest Brush. She painted in the San Diego area as well as the Bahamas, Holland, and the New England states. Known for her florals, her work also includes landscapes and portraits.
