Biography   Catherine Tuttle


Born in California on May 31, 1893. Catherine Snell moved to Los Angeles with her family in 1894. After graduating from Pomona College, she did post-graduate work at UC Berkeley under Eugen Neuhaus. She taught art for one year in the Los Angeles public schools and then wed Homer Tuttle and established a home in Monrovia. She died there on Jan. 30, 1971. Exh: Venice (CA) High School, 1922; Sierra Madre Arts Guild, 1925-52; Artists Fiesta (LA), 1931; Women Painters of the West, 1930s; Friday Morning Club (LA), 1930s.
