He was known for his controversial and thought-provoking illustrations and caricatures.
He was killed in the Charlie Hebdo shooting in January 2015.
Charb worked for many newspapers, Charlie Hebdo (which he edited from 2009 until his death in 2015), L'Écho des savanes, Télérama, and L'Humanité.
