Charles Bernard Garbutt was active/lived in California, Ontario.  Charles Garbutt is known for animal illustrator, animator.

Biography   Charles Garbutt

Born in Ontario, CA on Aug. 25, 1900 of Canadian parents, Charles Garbutt began sketching farm animals as a child, and at age 15 was earning his living as an artist.  A self-taught artist, he worked in the art department of the Los Angeles Times, was author-illustrator of children's books, taught art at the Los Angeles Zoo for the Chouinard School of Art, and created drawings of Snow White and Bambi for Walt Disney.

A lifelong resident of Los Angeles, Garbutt died on March 17, 1975.
