The following is provided by the artist's son, Dr. Charles Bracker:

My father was Charles E. Bracker.  The middle initial of his name stood for Eugene.

He lived in Port Chester, NY during the WWII period.  He won the Art Director's Award in New York twice during the early 1940s.  His work was exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

He had two children:  Charles Jr. born in February 1938 and David born in March 1942.

He moved to Southern California after WWII with his family.

He was known for illustrating Chesapeake and Ohio Calendars in the late 1930s and early 1940s.  He also illustrated children's books, the most notable were: Zic-Zac the Crocodile Bird (written by   ...  Displaying 750 of 1064 characters.
