Biography   Charles Polowetski


Charles Ezekiel Polowetski was born in Russia on September 1, 1884.  Polowetski studied in Paris with Richard Blum and Leon Bonnat.  By 1914 he had immigrated to New York City where he spent most of career.  He died in San Francisco on May 20, 1955. 

Exh:  Corcoran Gallery, 1914; Society of Independent Artists, 1917-31; Salons of America, 1925, 1934; Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, 1932. 

Works held:  State Normal School (Brockport, NY); Bezalel College (Palestine); Paterson (NJ) City Hall; Barnett Hospital (Paterson); New York City public schools; Summit  Park Sanitorium (Pomona, NY); Floyd Bennett Airport (NY).
