Biography   Charles Seide

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Charles Seide was a painter, print maker, illustrator and long-time art teacher at the Brooklyn Museum Art School (1946-1962). From 1950, he served as an associate professor of art at Cooper Union.

Seide studied at the Art Students League with Leon Kroll and did illustration work as well as fine-art painting.

Exhibition venues included the Pennsylvania Academy, the National Academy of Design and Pepsi-Cola Company from whom in 1948, he won a Fellowship.
