Christina Kercheville was active/lived in New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas.  Christina Kercheville is known for Southwest landscape painting.

Biography   Christina Kercheville

Christina Kercheville was a painter of southwestern landscapes, many in abstract style influenced by her association with Raymond Jonson and the Transcendental Painters Group of New Mexico where she moved from her birthplace of Altus, Arkansas.  She also lived in Kingsville, Texas and was married to author F.M. Kercheville, whose book Practical Spoken Spanish was widely read and credited for many Americans learning to speak the language of their neighbors to the south.

Kercheville earned a B.A. degree in Art from the University of South Dakota and also attended the University of Wisconsin and the University of New Mexico where she studied with Kenneth Adams, Randall Davey, Lloyd Goff, Frederic Taubes and Raymond Jonson.&n   ...  Displaying 750 of 1820 characters.
