Claude Wallace Woodruff was active/lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan.  Claude Woodruff is known for children's book illustrator, educator.

Biography   Claude Woodruff

Claude Woodruff was born in Hamilton, Michigan but is more closely associated with Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he lived and worked for many years.  Mr. Woodruff studied under George Bridgman, Thomas Fogerty, Edward Penfield, Charles Buckles Falls, and Charles Rosen. 

He was a teacher at the Pittsburgh Art Institute and wrote and illustrated The Life of Shep, the Farmer's Dog

His exhibitions include the Art Institute of Chicago in 1926.  He was a member of the Society of Illustrators.
