Clyde Hager Owes was born on May 20, 1925. He was known for his Impressionist seascapes, landscapes, and still life works and for his marine images.
After spending four years in the US Navy in the South Pacific he continued his art education in Hollywood, California. After moving to California's Central Coast, he became and remained active in the art communities of San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, and Los Olivos, California His works were widely exhibited in local venues and Galleries along the Central Coast.
Owes was involved in many one-man shows and was an award winner in the National Arts For The Parks exhibition in 1995, 2001, and 2004. Owes was an artist member of the International Society of Marine Painters, and Oil Paint
