Biography Connie Fox
Earning an M.F.A. in the early 1950s from the University of Albuquerque, she met Elaine deKooning whom she described as "the nearest thing to a mentor I ever had." Fox embraced abstraction, working large scale, with "demonic energy" from a studio in East Hampton, New York. She has been a long-time companion of William King, abstract painter, and in Fall, 1998, they had an exhibition together at Lizan-Tops Gallery in New York City.
