Biography Czar Dyer
A lithographer and draftsman, Czar J. Dyer, sometiems referred
to as C.J. Dyer, was active primarily in Arizona but was in California
where he did lithographs dated 1880 of Novato Ranch, which is in the
the Henry E. Huntington Library, and a lithograph of Napa
Then he traveled to Prescott, Arizona where he was active in the mining
industry. In Phoenix, he became a city councilman and mayor and
became the official draftsman for the city. His Bird's Eye View
map of Phoenix is in the Smurthwaite House. Czar Dyer' died on
March 28, 1903, and his grave is in the Rosedale Cemetery in Phoenix at
15th Avenue & West Jefferson, with the incorrect name of C.A.
