Daniel Wright Kellogg

Daniel Wright Kellogg was active/lived in Connecticut, Wisconsin.  Daniel Kellogg is known for lithography and engraving.

Biography   Daniel Wright Kellogg

Founder of the D.W. Kellogg Lithography firm of Hartford, Connecticut about 1830, Daniel Wright Kellogg was primarily active in Hartford, although he did spend some time in New York City (1847-48 and 1855-56).  It is reported that he went West in 1836, but the firm carried his name until 1842, when it changed to E.B. and E.C. Kellogg for his brothers, Edmund Burke and Elijah Chapman Kellogg.

The Kellogg Firm was known for prints of sentimental genre subjects and for landscapes, which became very popular in the early to late 19th century.  In most cases, the prints were intended to be framed or hung as they were fairly large in size.  One of Daniel Kellogg's earliest landscape prints was A View of the No   ...  Displaying 750 of 1722 characters.
