David Cunningham Lithgow : Sculptor, Painter, Muralist, Author, was born in 1868 in Glasgow, Scotland. He emigrated to the US in 1888 with his sister, Jessie and settled in Albany, NY. In 1890, he married his wife, Amelia. He opened an artist studio in at 57 North Pearl St., Albany, NY. He was Albany, NY's most famous turn of the century artist, who was commissioned to paint murals, oil paintings, sculptures, illustrate books, and the historical dioramas and mural for New York State Museum in Alba
