David Skeggs was born in Youngstown in 1924. In 1960s, he lived with his wife and three children in Bath, Ohio, where he was designing a line of stoneware planters and other home accessories which he hoped to produce and market during the winter of 1960 under the name of Skeggs Design Studio.
