Diana Reuter-Twining is an artist whose work is steeped in the genre of art known as "Animalier", the French word for animal art. Inspiration comes from artists who proceeded her including Rosa Bonheur, Rembrandt Bugatti and Anna Hyatt Huntington.
Diana Reuter-Twining's interest in art developed from the time she was a young girl assisting her father with photographic assignments for National Geographic Magazine. After an apprenticeship with National Geographic, she spent a year in Paris studying art history and received her undergraduate degree in Art History from Hollins College.
