Biography Dimitris Megalidis
Born in Athens, Dimitris Megalidis studied painting in Paris, close to his uncle writer and painter C. Vokos. This was followed by studies at the School of Fine Arts. In 1958 by order of the administration of PPC, he painted work of miners in Aliveri, projects included in the album Aliveri (Athens 1960).
The painting and engraving of Megalidis was possessed by a clean, dynamic realism inherent in military service as affirmation of human freedom to choose. The man in the works of struggling and striving, believing in features.
