Biography   Donato "Dan" or "Don" Rico

The following information was submitted by Kat Mulkey:

He began his artistic career as a wood-engraver, turning to illustration and genre painting, illustrating and writing many Golden Age Books, including Captain America, Submariner and Daredevil.  His artwork is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Library of Congress, and others.

Don Rico was also a singer, and had his own singing radio program in upstate New York in then 1940s.

Concentrating on writing, he authored over 60 published novels, and wrote for the features Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary, and 200 Years Later.  He was also a writer for the Adam-12 television series.
