Dorothy Geraldine Humphries Baugh was born in Bath, England on October 2, 1891. She immigrated to Sierra Madre, CA in 1894, and was educated at Pasadena High School and Pomona College. After her marriage to Francis Baugh in 1915, she lived in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Duarte, California.
Mrs. Baugh did not pursue an art career until 1934 when she began taking classes in the adult programs of the Los Angeles city schools. Dorothy Baugh was a painter of the California landscape and traveled widely painting scenes of the Mother Lode Country, Alaska, Mexico, and Nevada.
She died in Duarte, CA on December 6, 1983.
