Biography   Edna McGill


Edna M. Sawyer McGill was born in Oshkosh, WI on Dec. 27, 1882.  Edna Sawyer had studios in San Francisco and San Jose in 1908.  By the 1920s she had wed Richard McGill and settled in Berkeley.  Locally, she was known as the writer of the fantasy, Crowning of the California Poppy. She died of heart failure in Oakland, CA on Aug. 21, 1929.
