Born in England. in 1810. Richardson worked in British Columbia during 1863-64 and in San Francisco in 1868-71. In 1871 he was engaged as artist and surveyor by George M. Wheeler to accompany his geographical survey of California, Nevada, and Arizona. His paintings include portraits, landscapes, and seascapes.
