Biography Eleanor Ahl
Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, Eleanor Ahl was a school teacher in Springfield and after marrying artist, Henry Hammond Ahl, traveled extensively in Europe. In 1920, they settled in Byfield, Massachusetts, where she focused on watercolor landscapes and floral still lifes, subject matter that she took from her surroundings.
A son, Henry Curtis Ahl, was also an artist.
