Biography   Elizabeth Edmond

Born in Portland, ME on Jan. 29, 1887. Edmond studied at the ASL in NYC, Massachusetts Normal School, and Académie Colarossi in Paris (1910-12). Upon returning from Paris, she settled in Los Angeles into a studio which she shared with Helen Blum. She was active in Los Angeles until her death following a minor operation in Pasadena on June 22, 1918. Exh: Salons de la Société des Artistes Français; NAD; LACMA; Toledo Museum; Royal Academy (London); PAFA, 1914; Calif. Art Club, 1914-16; Panama-Pacific Expo (San Diego), 1915 (bronze and gold medals); San Francisco Art Association, 1916; Pasadena AA, 1917.
