Elizabeth Vila Taylor Watson —born in New Jersey in 1863 and died in 1949 — was an active painter of portraits from the 1880s to the 1940s. She studied with Joseph Rodefer De Camp (1858-1923) and Edmund Charles Tarbell (1862-1938) at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
Watson worked on Clark's Island in Plymouth, MA during the summer, and in 1933, her address was 404 Fenway Studios, Ipswich St., Boston, MA.
Watson was a member of the Boston Art Student's Association, 1887; the Copley Society, 1887; Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts; the Gloucester Society of Artists; Duxbury Artists; and the Boston Art Club.
