Esperillo Bute was an Argentine painter known for being one of the signatory members of the manifesto "Por un Arte Revolucionario" of 1958 and founder of the Movimiento Espartaco group* (1959-1968).
He joined joined the formation until January 1963 and participated in the closing exhibition in 1968. p.12
And with regard to their connection and subsequent separation from the Spartacus group (with a marked Americanist tendency), he states: "I did not distance myself for ideological or aesthetic reasons, simply for personal reasons".
With them he exhibited for the first time at the Salon de Artes Rioplatense (1959) and four years later he held his first solo exhibition at the Wildenstein Gallery in New York.
