Ethel Chamberalin Woltman was born in California on Jan. 18, 1879. Woltman was a lifelong resident of the Oakland area. While living in Piedmont, she was a pupil in William Keith's Friday night classes. She died in Alameda, CA on Dec. 31, 1981. Her works early still lifes and landscapes evince the influence of Keith; whereas, her later works are Impressionist.
