German painter, draftsman, etcher and illustrator (1865 Halle to 1938 Munich), studied from 1883 at the Academy Berlin with Paul Thumann and Paul Friedrich Meyerheim, 1888 relocation to Munich and together with Fritz von Uhde, Kalckreuth, Langhammer and Hugo King worked as a landscape painter in Dachau, founding member of the Munich Secession, increasingly worked as an illustrator, including from 1893 over 30 years employees of the?
