Eugene James McFarland -educator and painter of American frontier genre - was born in St. Louis, MO in 1908 and died in 1955. His only two listed addresses are Delaware, OH and Enid, OK but, unfortunately, no timeframe was given for either one. McFarland earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Kansas and studied at the University of Southern California and Ohio State. He also studied with Albert Bloch (1882-1961), Raymond James Eastwood (1898-?), and the German-American artist, Karl Mattern (1892-1969).
