Biography Eyre Crowe
Eyre Crowe was a Victorian painter of genre and historical subjects. He
was a pupil of the French historical painter, Paul Delaroche in Paris.
He traveled to America in 1852, as a companion and secretary to the
novelist, William Thackeray.
In 1876 he was elected as an Associate of
the Royal Academy. He exhibited 84 works at The Royal Academy.
