Augustin-Pierre Bienvenu Chenu or Fleury-Chenu was a 19th century French artist who is best known for his snowy landscapes. He worked in the Barbizon tradition, a painterly landscape artist, whose work was influenced by the naturalistic landscape movement of the 1830s and 1840s.
Augustin-Pierre Bienvenu Fleury-Chenu was born in Briançon, a beautiful, sun-drenched city in the department of the Hautes-Alpes. His father was Anthelme Chenu and his mother was Francouse Guiguet-Boulogne Chenu.
