Born in Hopeton, CA on Nov. 18, 1874. Florence Ingalsbe married John B. Tufts in San Francisco in 1895 and then settled in Berkeley. She studied with Godfrey Fletcher in Monterey and with Spencer Macky at the CSFA. She was active in the local art scene through the 1930s and lived in Berkeley until her demise on Oct. 9, 1954.
