Born in Berkeley, CA on Oct. 5, 1905. Florence Richardson earned her B.A. degree at UC Berkeley in 1926 and continued her art study at CCAC, CSFA, Académie Julian in Paris, and the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna. Returning to San Francisco in 1931, she married Hubert Wyckoff, an attorney. She established a studio in back of the Palace Hotel where she produced ceramics, garden sculpture, portrait busts, and bas relief woodcarving. In 1947 she moved to Watsonville, CA and lived there until her demise on Sept. 20, 2000. Member: SF Women Artists (vice pres., 1930s). Exh: Women's City Club (SF), 1930; CPLH, 1933 (solo).
