Biography Frances Baker
Frances Baker established a hand weaving industry, The Crock of Gold in Dublin in 1919. During the 1930's, she taught arts and crafts. She was a
close friend of Sarah Purser, the Yeats Family (WB's father taught
her), and Evelyn Glasson.
Frances Baker exhibited with well known painters of the time; Constance
Gore-Booth, WJ Leech, Dermod O'Brien and the Markiecz family. She had a
close association with AE, and exhibited at the Leinster Hall exhibition,
and Molesworth Street from 1906-1915.
