Biography Frances Hall
A designer of calendars in New Orleans in the late 1890s, Frances Devereaux Jones Hall lived there until 1904. By 1907 she was living in Philadelphia where she became a teacher.
Creative artwork included sculpture, crafts and decoration, and her art studies were at Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans and Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
She was a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance, National Association of Women Artists, Artists Association of New Orleans and New Orleans Art Association. Exhibitions were with those groups and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
