Biography Frederic Fregevize
Frédéric Frégevize started his career as enameler in Geneva. From 1809 he worked for the Royal Porcelain Manufacture before he was made Professor of the Academy of Arts in 1820.
Frégevize painted mainly the Swiss Alps and Lake Geneva, with a diligence he owed to his training as an enameler. Two of his topographically exact landscapes can be found in the Old National Gallery in Berlin.
