Frederic Farley

 (born 1895)
Frederic (H. M. S.) Farley was active/lived in Maryland.  Frederic Farley is known for wildlife illustration, block printing, design, drawing specialist.

Biography   Frederic Farley


Known especially for wildlife illustration, Frederic Farley also did block printing and etching. He lived in Baltimore, Maryland where he was a member of the Friends of Art, Baltimore. Other memberships included the American Artists Professional League, and he exhibited work with the Salons of America in 1940.

He studied at the Maryland Art Institute, Pennsylvania Academy of Design, Art Students League in New York, Slade School in London, the Academy Julian and Academy Grand Chaumiere in Paris.

One of his teachers was illustrator Joseph Pennell.
