Demmler, Frederick A. (1888-1918)
A painter, he died in France while fighting on the Western Front in the autumn of 1918. He was born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania in 1888, and studied under Horatio S. Stevenson and at the School of the Boston Museum of Art*.
He was a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, and the Fellowship of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts*.
In 1916 he was awarded the third prize at the exhibition of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh.
