Biography Frederick Warren Allen
Born in North Attleboro 1888, and graduated from Attleboro High School in 1907, Frederick Allen studied under Mannatt and Hazelton at the Rhode Island School of Design, 1907-1908.
He entered the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston 1908 and studied under Bela Pratt (student of St.Gaudens) until 1913, studied in Paris with Paul Landowski at Academie Julian and Bartlett at Colorossi, . He taught at the Boston Museum School from 1914-1957, and was Head of the Sculpture Department for 30 years where he was a highly respected teacher and retired with Emeritus status.
He maintained a working studio on Tavern Road, Boston and homes in Concord, Massachusetts; North Haven, Maine; and Rumney, New Hampshire. He fathe
