Biography   Friedrich Wilhelm Schwinge


Friedrich Wilhelm Schwinge was born on March 30, 1852 in Hamburg and died on October 22, 1913.  Schwinge was a German landscape and marine painter.   From 1878-84 he studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, first with Hugo Crola and Heinrich Lauenstein and later with Peter Janssen and Eugen Dücker.  In 1885 after training, he settled in Hamburg, where he became a member of the Hamburg Artist Association of 1832.
