Born in San Diego, CA on April 27, 1914, Gail Cole was a Stanford University graduate, who moved to San Francisco to study at the California School of Fine Art.
During the 1940s she taught locally and was active in the art scene in the San Francisco Bay area and Los Angeles into the 1960s.
She died in San Francisco on Oct. 8, 1968. She was the the wife of Clarence E. Hough.
