Biography Gary Pruner
Gary Pruner was born in 1940 in Kansas. He attended Encina High School and graduated from California State Univ., Sacramento. Also studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. Taught at the American River College from 1970- 97. Over the years, Pruner's works have ranged from abstracted landscapes of Northern California and stunning realist watercolors of flowers and potted plants to psychedelically intense works that juxtapose images drawn from advertising, magazines and color slides.
