Minache genius (Russian: born Evgenia Semenovna Hadji-Minash (Russian:) in Saint Petersburg in 1907 and died in Paris in 1972, she is a French painter of Russian origin known as book illustrator.
Evacuated from Russia after the Russian Revolution, Genia Minache's family moved to Constantinople, Prague and then to Paris. She studied at the National School of Decorative Arts.
From 1934 she exhibited in different galleries in Paris. Her works, notably The Dancers of Iran or The Bow, seem to be imbued with an exoticism peculiar to the nineteenth-century European orientalist painters.
