German marine painter and graphic artist (lithographer, etcher). Actually, Johann Joachim Georg Wolters. Student of Gerd Hardorff the Elder and Friedrich Schwinge in Hamburg. Training in 1890 in Paris at the Académie Rosi and 1904 at the Academy in Antwerp. During World War I drove as a lieutenant. He was a famous yacht sailors and power boaters and the only marine painter with captain's license. Twice married, six children. Works: landscapes and seascapes with ships, shipyards and Flußszenen, oil paintings, watercolors, drawings, etchings. The printing plates were destroyed in 1943 in the bombing.
