Biography   George Fletcher

An illustrator of scenery for a moving diorama based on a book titled Kane's Arctic Voyage, about the arctic expeditions of Dr. Elish Kent Kane (died 1857) including Kane's investigation of the 1845 disappearance of Sir John Franklin's expedition in search of the Northwest Passage. 

Fletcher lived in Boston and possibly New York City and worked with scenic painters Minard Lewis and Truman C. Bartholomew to stage the production.
