Biography George Davis
George Davis was born Newark, New Jersey, February 6, 1914 and died in New York, City December 13, 2001. He was a cartoon cartoon illustrator, who studied at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. He joined the Topeka Art Center staff as head of Design Unit, 1941.
Davis was a contributor of cartoons to Colliers, Saturday Evening Post, Look, American, Cavalier, Ladies Home Journal, etc. He also held the position of Medical and Scientific Illustrator for the Veteran's Administration 1950-52.
