Born in Naperville, IL on March 27, 1893. Ester arrived in California in 1922. During the 1920s he worked as a commercial artist in San Francisco. Following the stock market crash in 1929, he moved to Santa Barbara and operated a gas station. He died there of a heart attack on Oct. 31, 1934.
