Born in Salinas, CA in 1875. Jenkins settled in Sacramento about 1905 and was an insurance broker for fifty years. He started sculpting in 1937 and by 1957 had completed bronze plaques of 30 California governors, several senators, and other notables. He died in Auburn, CA on Dec. 20, 1966.
