Born in England on Aug. 26, 1861. Rushforth immigrated to California in 1888 and settled in Berkeley. His architectural designs included the Hotel Whitcomb in San Francisco (with George Wright in 1918), First Methodist Church in Berkeley, and the Forest Hill Hotel in Pacific Grove. Formerly a partner in the firm of Wright, Rushforth, & Cahill, he retired in 1940. In his leisure he painted watercolors. He died in Berkeley on Sept. 30, 1943. Member: AIA.
