Biography George Curtis
Born in Southampton, England, George Vaughan Curtis studied at the Academie Julian, Paris with Legros and Benjamin Constant and Curtis later taught art in Paris. He then immigrated to the United States in 1894. He was a member of the Society of Independent Artists, and his work is in the Musee de Melun, and a large mural is in the Church Vilemomble.
