 (born 1955)
Georgia Gerber is active/lives in Washington.  Georgia Gerber is known for whimsical animal sculpture.

Biography   Georgia Gerber

Sculptor Georgia Gerber intends to invite interaction with viewers of her work by creating bronze animal sculpture with endearing personalities. Gerber selects the animals that she sculpts because of her personal fondness for them. Her life-size bronzes have been described as expressive in style because she intentionally eliminates fine detail in order to present the true essence of the animal. She believes that it as important as a sculptor to have knowledge about what to "leave out".

Gerber has created sculptures of bears, elephants, dogs, rabbits, otters, birds and even dancing mice. Perhaps her most famous sculpture is "Rachel The Pig", which greets visitors to the Pike Street Market in Seattle, Washington   ...  Displaying 750 of 946 characters.
